Abstract:
A cascade radial-flow compressor for an aeronautic turbo-jet engine is disclosed. The compressor includes an air inlet (1) provided at the central of an axis, a casing, a movable impeller disc (5), a stationary impeller disc (2); a plurality of movable blades (9, 13) and stationary blades (12, 14) in the form of concentrical circles located on said movable impeller disc and stationary impeller disc, respectively, the movable baldes and stationary blades (9, 13, 12, 14) form a movable cascade and a stationary cascade, respectively; the movable impeller disc (5) is opposed to the stationary impeller disc (2), the circular movable cascade is spacedly located with respect to said stationary cascade, when the movable impeller disc (5) rotates, the air is sucked through the air inlet (1) and the compressed air is discharged out through a discharge passage (3, 10). By making use of the principle of axial compressor, the duct-type arrangement of axial cascade is modified to the disc-type arrangement of cascade in the form of radial concentrical circles according to the present invention, there are more blades on the outer circles of the movable and stationary discs, and the velocity of outer circles is higher, the compressed effect produced by the movable blade, cooperated with the stationary blades is better than the cascade axial-flow compressor. The cascade radial-flow compressor according to the present invention has higer compression ratio and wider range of design area, it is suitably manufacutured by a mould to ensure the manufactural precision and low processing cost, and it is advantageously used to a flap-type aeronautic engine and a turbo-jet engine for a small aeroplane.
