Abstract:
Provided is a cash processing apparatus provided with: a deposit unit that receives a plurality of bank notes deposited thereinto; one or more bank note housing units; a recognition unit that counts the bank notes delivered from the deposit unit, and recognizes the state of each of the bank notes; one or more withdrawal units which each have a withdrawal port and to which bank notes rejected by the recognition unit are conveyed; and a control unit that carries out a counting process in which the bank notes delivered from the deposit unit are counted and recognized by the recognition unit and are then accumulated in the corresponding bank note housing units, and carries out one accumulation process by dividing the process into a plurality of the counting processes, wherein the control unit allows the counting processes to be carried out continuously even when the rejected bank notes remain in the withdrawal units at the completion of each of the counting processes.
