Description:
A Casino game that allows Blackjack type games, Poker type games, Roulette type games and other games to be played simultaneously or in isolation.

This invention relates to casino gaming apparatus that combines elements of card games such as poker and black jack with roulette

BACKGROUND

The typical casino environment provides a range of gaming opportunities including tables for card games and also roulette tables. The card games, such as black jack and poker, and the gaming opportunities provided by roulette tables are very well known and with slight variations in the rules used are common in casinos throughout the world. However while the common provision of similar gaming apparatus allows players to find gaming opportunities with which they are familiar whatever the location it is also the case that there is a lack of variety available to gamers.

Previously attempts have been made to provide hybrid gaming opportunities combining aspects of different types of casino games. However the disparate nature of the distinct individual game outcomes of a single throw or hand as between a roulette wheel and a set of playing cards and the different relative probabilities of any single result in each case has hitherto meant that attempts to provide a practical combination of popular card games and roulette apparatus have been unsuccessful.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSURE

In accordance with the present invention there is provided gaming apparatus comprising a roulette wheel and a gaming table wherein the roulette wheel is marked such that each slot represents a distinct playing card and the gaming table is marked with a grid of distinct areas representing playing cards.

Preferably the cards chosen to be represented on the roulette wheel are such as to allow a desired combination of cards corresponding to a winning hand in a selected card game to result from successive spins of the roulette wheel.

More preferably 36 different playing card values are represented.

Preferably the gaming table is marked with distinct playing areas representing individual playing cards and/or particular combinations of playing cards.

More preferably the distinct areas are marked to represent winning card combinations as found in particular card games.

Most preferably said winning card combinations are selected from the winning card combinations found in the card games black jack and/or poker.

Players obtain chips of a designated face value and place a chip or chips on selected playing areas, winning card combinations are selected by successive spins of the roulette wheel.

Players can thus bet on individual cards, individual suits, card and/or suit combinations and card combinations corresponding to winning hands in games of black jack and/or poker.

Variations in the probability of obtaining a specific winning card combination as compared to the conventional card games introduce an element of variety and an extra degree of skill in selecting a gaming opportunity for players.

According to a second aspect of the present invention there is provided a roulette wheel and game board combination wherein the roulette wheel numbers are replaced by playing card indicators on the wheel and the board.

While the basic embodiments of gaming apparatus envisaged are ideally suited for use in a physical form in a casino setting it should be appreciated that versions of the game can easily be adapted and produced as an electronic stand alone computer game or created in a virtual format configured to provide an on-line gaming environment.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

A detailed description of various embodiments together with associated drawings and appendices will now be provided.

Throughout the description and appendices of this specification, the words "comprise" and "contain" and variations of them mean "including but not limited to", and they are not intended to (and do not) exclude other components, integers or steps. Throughout the description and appendices of this specification, the singular encompasses the plural unless the context otherwise requires. In particular, where the indefinite article is used, the specification is to be understood as contemplating plurality as well as singularity, unless the context requires otherwise.

Features, integers and characteristics, described in conjunction with a particular aspect, embodiment or example of the invention are to be understood to be applicable to any other aspect, embodiment or example described herein unless incompatible therewith. All of the features disclosed in this specification (including any accompanying claims, abstract and drawings), and/or all of the steps of any method or process so disclosed, may be combined in any combination, except combinations where at least some of such features and/or steps are mutually exclusive. The invention is not restricted to the details of any foregoing embodiments. The invention extends to any novel one, or any novel combination, of the features disclosed in this specification (including any accompanying claims, abstract and drawings), or to any novel one, or any novel combination, of the steps of any method or process so disclosed.

Casinos have had the same table games on offer for years now and whilst these games are successful in their own right little has changed with respect to supplanting them. The invention described in this document is a new Multi Roulette game that allows numerous games to be played simultaneously or individually i.e. Poker Type games, Blackjack type games etc in a roulette type format this has never been achieved to date. This game is vastly superior to a standard roulette table as not only does it offer just as many bets in a familiar user friendly fashion, it in fact offers considerably more for example it has an ADDITIONAL NINE OUTSIDE BETS alone. It also offers an extremely wide variety of different zones or games within the game. It does so in a manner never conceived or constructed before utilising only 36 playing cards of the 52 cards available in your typical deck of playing cards. The game therefore essentially discards 16 cards and for this reason perhaps many have viewed the idea as a lost cause. However, with the correct 'discarding' those that remain can be arranged in a critical and unique manner on both the table playing surface and roulette wheel. By employing this critical arrangement this has led to further developments and betting zones and the creation of this new unique game and strangely less is more. Only following the strict adherence to 'The Golden Rule' described later and also the advent and the introduction of 'Running bets' can anything resembling meaningful game play be brought about.

This new game successfully combines elements of the card games 'Poker' and 'Blackjack' with 'Roulette'. The game involves 36 playing cards or more accurately the representations of cards or card indicia distributed on a roulette wheel (figs 17, 18 and appendix XI). The same card representations are distributed along a playing table within a 'Main Card Grid' in an order/pattern demonstrated in - fig 2 in the blue dotted rectangle - players can place their chips on this area as well as the other betting zones demonstrated in Figure 1, 4 etc described later in this document. NOTE that the table in figures T and '4' represent the table used whilst playing the 'State' wheel (see figures '17' and 'W and appendix XI) ; the World table would look exactly the same but have a single joker zone instead at the top and a single 'joker zone' below (please see appendix XII ). It should be noted that all the betting zones can be played in isolation on a table playing surface together with the described roulette wheel/s generating the 'winning card/s'. Alternatively the betting zones can be combined on the table playing surface with whatever betting zone one wishes to employ from those described in this document - for example Figure Ί ' has figures 4, 14, 16, 19, 24, 26 and 28 in some way incorporated in it.

Figures Ί - 6 '16' & appendix XII demonstrate playing surfaces and are the main representations of table design/s. Figure 4 in particular should be highlighted as a key diagram as it clearly demonstrates the type of 'Main Card Grid' and table playing surface which would replace say a traditional roulette table and grid which just has numbers 1 to 36. Likewise figure 17 which represents a new roulette wheel configuration called the 'World Wheel' and/or 'State Wheel' would replace a traditional roulette wheel again which just has numbers 1 to 36.

It should be appreciated however, that all of the game elements described and demonstrated in the figures/diagrams throughout this document may be added to the playing surface (e.g. appendix VI). So any of the 'figures' representations of playing surfaces or betting zones could be expanded to incorporate the other elements. Examples of such expansions and alternatives are demonstrated in figures '20', '21 ', figure 60 and Appendix T and 'II' but all zones could be moved around depending on which games one wishes to be play. A casino may offer numerous tables with various combinations of the 'Main Grid' examples are provided in appendix I and II. It should be noted however the 'Main Card Grid' distribution and card indicia used at all times must follow 'The Golden Rule' see below. Whenever 'roulette wheel' or 'wheel' is referred to in the text that follows it is almost invariably is referring to either the 'World Wheel' or the 'State Wheel' described later in this document..

Figure Ί- 3 represent a playing surface and have a number of playing zones as well as the 'Main Card Grid'. These diagrams demonstrate 'playing zones' as well as croupier/dealer controlled black non playing zones and have associated labelling explaining some of the zones/bets etc available.

Please note, for clarity because of the shear number of new betting zones created not all betting zones described and represented in the figures in this document have been placed on one single diagram but it should be borne in mind that ALL zones described in this document can be placed onto the playing surface of the table and a composition similar to Figure 1 or 60 or appendix III etc can be created. Besides all the betting zones are very much interchangeable and a casino can play numerous games in isolation or in combination.

The cards used and distributed on the 'Main Card Grid' in 'figs -6' are as follows (listed according to columns or card indicia running vertically) :

Column 1 : Column 2: Column 3:

10 of Diamonds Ace of Clubs 2 of Diamonds

3 of Clubs 4 of Diamonds 5 of Clubs

6 of Diamonds 7 of Clubs 8 of Diamonds

9 of Clubs 10 of Clubs Jack of Diamonds

Queen of Clubs King of Diamonds Jack of Clubs

Queen of Diamonds King of Clubs Ace of Diamonds

10 of Hearts Ace of Spades 2 of Hearts

3 of Spades 4 of Hearts 5 of Spades

6 of Hearts 7 of Spades 8 of Hearts

9 of Spades 10 of Spades Jack of Hearts

Queen of Spades King of Hearts Jack of Spades

Queen of Hearts King of Spades Ace of Hearts

The cards or card indicia can be distributed in various ways keeping the same values and changing the suits only, an example of altering the grid in figure Ί ' in this manner is demonstrated in appendix T- figures 'Χ', Ύ' and 'Ζ'.

Please refer to main 'Golden Rule' which governs the card values that have to be used and the rules governing the card distribution on the 'Main Card Grid' as well as the roulette wheel. The Golden Rule' - MAIN RULE GOVERNING CARD DISTRIBUTION. The Problem

The idea of using a standard pack of playing cards of 52 and somehow trying to use these cards on a roulette table which traditionally uses 36 consecutive numbers is a big big problem . The fact the 52 playing cards are composed of four suits of thirteen cards and in turn have Jacks, Queens and Kings that are not really numbers is one problem. Jacks, Queens and Kings are not in one sense Odd and even' too so this further complicates matters particularly when one considers traditional roulette has Odds & Evens bets. Playing cards cannot be split into the numbers 1 -18 or 19-36 which again are an integral part of a standard roulette table, as it could be argued no card exists with a value of over 10 and certainly not over 13. This has implications for and impacts greatly on the three dozen bets traditionally available too.

Therefore the prospect of losing the bets 1 -18, 19-36, odd bet, even bet and dozen bets appears to render the idea of using cards/card indicia useless. Losing 16 cards is a severe attrition rate and then distributing them on a roulette table and wheel which traditionally uses 36 spaces (excluding zeroes) and still be able to play any meaningful game/s is the difficulty one is confronted with. No doubt for this reason many reject the idea from the outset. To date this has never been considered and achieved. In order for it to be achieved certain rules have to be followed to arrive at the magic number of 36 cards and only by using the 'correct' card values together with a certain distribution rule and pattern will allow the many game elements similar to that of Poker and Blackjack to be incorporated and played successfully. All of this also has to be done whilst preserving roulette type elements. In addition there is the problem of monitoring successive spins as many card games have many cards forming 'hands'. The solution not only overcomes these problems it has led to the creation of an entirely new multi game with new features and many many new bets. (Note the idea of using 52 cards or anything over 36 excluding Joker/s is undesirable from a roulette perspective as the odds etc are unattractive to players and casinos alike).

The Golden Rule' : Solution

The following provides the rules that govern which cards or card indicia are to be used on the playing surface of the roulette table within the 'Main Card Grid' and their distribution within that said Grid. (The 'Main Card Grid' is identified in figure 2, and used in numerous figures throughout e.g. figs Ί ', '4', '16', '20', '21 ', 'X', Ύ and 'Z'.) These in turn dictate which cards or card indicia and values are to be used on the roulette wheel and influence its make up. The playing surfaces 'Main Card Grid' and roulette wheel values are therefore inextricably linked.

The following rules have been termed the 'Golden Rule' for easier reference. Without such a rule and adhering to it no meaningful 'Main Card Grid' using cards/card indicia can ever be composed and as such the game or idea fails. Any other attempts at constructing a roulette game using cards/card indicia out with this rule render them deficient. Deviating from the Golden Rule ultimately destroys or disrupts the many new Outside' bets (see relevant section) that have been created. The rules that must be followed are:-

1 . Each of the four card suits i.e. Spades, Hearts, Diamonds and Clubs, must have their associated Ace, King, Queen, Jack and Ten' placed within the 'Main Card

Grid' this equates to 20 cards e.g. 4 Aces of each suit (i.e. Spades / Hearts / Diamonds / Clubs), 4 Kings of each suit, 4 Queens of each suit, 4 Jacks of each suit and 4 Tens of each suit. Each suit must be confined to one half of the 'Main Card Grid' (i.e. first 18 boxes or last 18 boxes see figure '8' to help clarify). These same cards or card indicia must also be represented and placed on the roulette wheel next to the individual slots/pockets.

2. To complete and fill the 'Main Card Grid' (and roulette wheel) a selection of paired cards or card indicia from two to nine (inclusive) are used. This equates to 16 cards and these are placed together with the 20 cards explained in rule '1 ' above within the 'Main Card Grid' (and roulette wheel) thus completing the 36 cards or card indicia required e.g. there are two two's, two threes, two fours, two fives, two sixes, two sevens, two eights, two nines. Please note that either three Joker card indicia or one Joker is used depending on which version of the roulette wheel is being used i.e. if a World Roulette Wheel is being used only one Joker is employed on the table and roulette wheel, if a State Roulette wheel is used three Jokers are required for both the table and roulette wheel.

Examples of the cards used are provided in figure 7'.

3. Each suit must be distributed in a manner so that each suit occupies only one half of the Main Card Grid'.

Black and red cards must also be equally represented on each half of the table grid i.e. you cannot have all red one half and all black on the other half of the main card grid.

Neither can you have 10 red and 8 black on one half of the main card grid to make up your 18 cards or any other uneven combination, the only combination is 9 red and 9 black cards on each half i.e. 9 of a red suit and 9 of a black suit on one half and the other half has 9 of the other red suit and 9 of the remaining black suit. Therefore each of the four suits available must have a total of 9 cards represented and these must be placed on one half of the 'Main Card Grid'. Following on from rule '1 ' the four remaining cards of each suit (to make up the total of 9 for each suit) are placed within the appropriate half of the 'Main Card Grid' corresponding to the same half the associated Ace, King, Queen, Jack and Ten for that suit are placed. It therefore follows that each half of the 'Main Card Grid' has 9 black and 9 red cards making a total of

18 cards/card indicia in each half :- • 2 Tens of a red and black suit, 2 Jacks of a red and black suit, 2

Queens of a red and black suit, 2 Kings of a red and black suit, 2 Aces of a red and black suit and one card of all numbers 2 to 9 inclusive consisting of 4 red and 4 black cards.) The type of 'suit' paired is very much dependent on how the 36 cards are distributed (see figs '4' and appendix T & ΊΙ).

4. All cards from 2 to 9 must be used and these are ONLY PAIRED.

Each pair must be split and occupy a square on opposite halves of the 'Main Card Grid' (see figs Ί ', '4', '16' & '20' and appendix T& ΊΙ). So each half of the 'Main Card Grid' has one card of the following values :-

2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9

This card combination is critical for many aspects of the game to work as the combination has led to the creation of three new 'Outside Dozen bets' (so effectively this new game has six outside dozen bets available on the playing surface where as a traditional roulette game only has three). The three new dozen bets are:-

> Odd Dozen - whose cards consist of 3, 5, 7, 9 all paired, plus 4 Aces of each suit =

12 cards indicia, (fig 11)

> Even Dozen - whose cards consist of 2, 4, 6, 8 all paired, plus 4 Tens of each suit

= 12 cards indicia, (fig 11)

> Face Card Dozen - whose cards consist of the King, Queen and Jack of each of the four suits = 12 cards indicia (see figures 4,5, 12, 13 and also 'Face card' bet described later in this document.)

Note these three dozens (Odd, Even and Face dozens) combined come to the grand total of 36 cards indicia which is paramount + Joker/s.

Please also note this card indicia combination has led to the creation of other new bets which have been titled a '9 to Kings' bet and an 'Ace to 8's' bet in other words a new type of 'Hi' and 'Lo' bet option which again uses the 36 cards indicia stated above:

• 'Ace - 8's' = Ace of Hearts, Ace of Clubs, Ace of Diamonds, Ace of Spades (= 4 cards) and cards form '2' to '8' paired (which = 14 cards) = 18 cards indicia in total.

• "9 - King's' consists of the paired 9's plus a Ten, Jack, Queen and King of each of the four suits (2+ 16) = 18 cards indicia in total.

(see figure 10 representative of playing area/surface.) TOTAL = 36 cards or card indicia + either one 'Joker' or three 'Jokers' (Single Joker + Double Jokers) placed at the top of the 'Main Card Grid' and also at the bottom out with the 'Main Card Grid' in the 'Additional Joker zone' (see figs Ί ', '4', Ί6', '20', '21 ', 'X', Ύ and 'Ζ'). Note that 'Jokers' are used too. These are demonstrated for example in figures 2, 4 and appendix XII. Jokers give the house the advantage as the odds paid out on a 'Straight up' bet are 35/1 , however, the roulette wheel has spaces for the joker too, therefore on the 'World Wheel' (fig '17') there are 37 slots and an additional slot for another joker slot i.e. Double Joker on the 'State Wheel' making a total of 38 slots (please see fig '17' and associated description). The joker slots effectively are not included or added to the 35/1 return. The joker cards therefore fulfil a similar role to that of the zero/zeroes on a traditional roulette table/wheel. Note that there is a joker zone at the lower end of the table (see fig 2 and appendix XII) this allows players to place 'Joker ONLY' bets without the need for stretching or croupier/dealer assistance, although this is not an essential element. Note The Red and Black distribution of the cards demonstrated in figs Ί ' and '4' is extremely desirable and whether red is occupied by a Heart or Diamond and Black by a Spade or Club can be altered if one wants (and the outside betting zones altered accordingly) this will not impact on the game. Playing zones may be moved or their orientation changed in relation to one another and also if need be moved into different areas of the table to allow easier game play i.e. it's important the playing surface and betting zones are in easy controllable reach for the croupier/dealer to allow efficient removal of losing chips, access to the placing/removal of the marker off the winning card/card indicia area etc. Similarly players must have easy access for placement of bets in a timely and efficient manner to minimise disruption. The table layout (figs 1, 4, 16 and W, Appendix VI etc) therefore may vary according to size and these zones may be subject to movement. However, regardless of size or orientation the game play remains essentially the same.

Please note ALL of the bets and betting zones described can be played solely on their own in their own right. One would simply use one of the 'Wheels' described in conjunction with whatever 'Betting Zone' was required/desirable. For example any of the betting zones described could be used with or without the 'Main Card Grid' e.g. a 'Face card' betting zone and 'Blackjack' betting zone could simply be used on a table with a roulette wheel and nothing else. One could include on the playing surface whatever betting zones listed in this document one wanted. It means casinos or players can have on offer any combination of whatever elements they wish. These various elements therefore can be in played in isolation or simultaneously.

AVAILABLE BETS

The following descriptions and explanations of 'Inside' and 'Outside' bets are based upon the table used in figs Ί-6 and '9' the same bets can be applied to all tables which have had cards/card indicia distributed according to the 'Golden Rule' governing cards distribution explained above.

'Inside' bets - Please see also figure '9'- the numbers to the left tie in with those in figure '9' 1)

Straight-up: a single card bet. The chip is placed entirely on the middle of a card (or card indicia) square. Payout is 35 to 1 . The joker square/s can be bet in this fashion.

(2)

Split: a bet on two adjoining cards (or cards indicia), either on the vertical or horizontal (e.g. 10 Clubs-7 clubs). The chip is placed on the line between these cards. Payout is 17 to 1 .

(3)

Street: a bet on three cards (or cards indicia) on a single horizontal line. The chip is placed on the edge of the line of the cards at the end of the line (either the left or the right, depending on the layout). Payout is 1 1 to 1

(4)

Corner (or square) : a bet on four cards (or cards indicia) in a square layout (e.g. as demonstrated in Fig '9' - ace clubs/two diamonds/four diamonds /five clubs). The chip is placed at the horizontal and vertical intersection of the lines between the four cards (or cards indicia). Payout is 8 to 1

(5)

Six Line (or Double Street): a bet on two adjoining streets, with the chip placed at the corresponding intersection, as if in between where two street bets would be placed. Payout is 5 to 1

Trio: a bet on the intersecting point between Joker and the first two squares (Ten Diamonds & Ace Clubs), or double Joker and squares 2 and 3 (Ace Clubs & 2 Diamonds). This is equivalent to betting on three cards at the same time - Payout is 1 1 to 1

Five card: usually State table only - With this bet the player is betting that any of the following cards (or cards indicia) will be the winning outcome on the next spin of the roulette wheel - Joker, Jokers, Ten of diamonds, Ace of Clubs, Three of diamonds - pays 6 to 1 .

It can be seen these bets allow players to bet anything from a single card or box on the grid to any number or combination of cards/boxes on the 'Main Card Grid'. The winning suit and value of card is of course determined by the roulette wheel.

Outside' bets - Please refer to figure '9'. Figure 9 diagram matically demonstrates some of the outside bets that can be played and is representative of the playing area/surface with many of the betting zones available. Note it excludes some bets explained elsewhere e.g. 'Hi' and 'Lo', Odds and 'Evens' and 'Multibet zone', 'Face Card zone' and all 'Running' bets. Outside bets typically have smaller payouts with better odds of winning.

<7) · Double Suit Bet- this represents a Diamonds & Clubs bet which effectively

covers the first 18 cards: i.e. a bet that one of the first eighteen cards (or cards indicia) will be the outcome winning card value on the roulette wheel. Odds are even money 1 :1 . Please see figure '9'.

• Double Suit Bet - Spades/Hearts (2nd 18 cards or cards indicia) : a bet that one of the last eighteen cards will be the winning card value or outcome of the next spin of the

(8) roulette wheel. Odds are even money 1 :1 .

· Double Suit Cross Bet or Cross Over bet - Diamonds/Spades and Hearts/Clubs: two completely new bets that allow players to bet on non-adjacent suits, these suits are on opposite halves of the grid. Effectively this enables players to place a bet covering 18 cards (or cards indicia) covering 9 cards on each half of the 'Main Card

(9) Grid'. Players when placing such a bet are obviously betting that the winning card value or outcome of the next spin of the roulette wheel will be one of these cards.

Odds are even money 1 :1 . - Please see also figure '9' .

• Red (Diamonds/Hearts) or Black (Clubs/Spades): a bet on which colour the winning card (or cards indicia) value of the next spin of the roulette wheel will produce. Odds are even money 1 :1 . - Please see also figure '2'.

· 'Hi' and 'Lo' - Lo 'Ace to 8's' bet. A completely new bet which allows players to bet that a card value between Ace and 8 (inclusive) will be the winning card value (or cards indicia) or outcome for the next spin of the roulette wheel. Also available is the

(10) new Hi '9 to Kings' bet which bets that any card value between a 9 and King (inclusive) will be the outcome - winning card on the roulette wheel. Odds are even money 1 :1 . - Please see also figure '10'.

• Dozen Bets: a bet on the first group/dozen cards or cards indicia (Please see example in figs '6' and '9' - cards from 10 of Diamonds to Jack of Diamonds), or second dozen (cards in the middle e.g. Queen of Clubs to 5 of Spades), or third dozen

(10)

(cards in the bottom third of the grid e.g. 6 of Hearts to Ace of Hearts) will be the outcome - winning card value on the wheel. Odds are 2 to1 .

• Face Card dozen: Again a completely new bet. With this bet the player is betting that the winning card value (or cards indicia) or outcome for the next spin of the roulette

(io) wheel will be a face card i.e. any King, Queen or Jack card. This has odds of 2 to 1 . -

Please see figures '12' and '13'.

· Odd Dozen - Again a completely new bet. With this bet the player is betting that the winning card value (or cards indicia) or outcome for the next spin of the roulette wheel will be an Odd' card, the cards covered by this bet are the paired cards 3,5,7,9 plus

(io) the 4 Aces of each suit = 12. Odds are 2 to1 . - Please see also figure '11'. • Even Dozen - Once more a completely new bet. With this bet the player is betting that the outcome for the next spin of the wheel will be an 'Even' card (or card indicia), the cards covered by this bet are the paired cards 2,4,6,8 plus the 4 'Tens' of each suit = 12. Odds are 2 to1 . - Please see also figure '11'. · Column Bets: a bet on the first column (e.g. cards extending vertically from the 10 of

Diamonds to Queen of Hearts) second column (e.g. cards extending vertically from the Ace of clubs to King of Spades) or third column (e.g. cards extending vertically from the 2 of Diamonds to the Ace of Hearts) will be the outcome - winning card (or fl2> cards indicia) on the wheel. Odds are 2 to1 . - Please see also figure '9'. · Suit (diamonds/clubs/spades/hearts): Once more 4 completely new bets. With this bet the player is betting that with the next spin of the roulette wheel its outcome (winning card/card indicia on the roulette wheel) will produce a particular 'suit'. There are four suits available Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds and Spades and each suit has '9' cards (or cards indicia) available for selection on the 'Main Card Grid' and these too are represented on the roulette wheel. This has odds of 3 to 1 . - Please see figure 9 and 5.

• Multibet zone - please see description and figs 14 and 15 for detail. Effectively offers arguably 14 New bets in a new format which is user friendly and offers fast play.

ALL of the above are described later in this document and essentially make up over 20 new games with various betting options and play all integrated into this new roulette game.

Hi and Lo' Bet

A new 'Hi' and 'Lo' bet option has been created and is available in this roulette game (see figure 10 representative of playing area/surface.) The 'Hi' and 'Lo' (can be written High or Low) bets available are radically different from those bets available on a traditional roulette table. As with all bets related to this game, the playing cards/card indicia that obviously make up 'Hi' and 'Lo' bets and the values and distribution of these cards make this bet previously unavailable and impossible on a traditional roulette table. As explained previously the cards that make up these new 'Hi' and 'Lo' bets are:

• 'Lo' Bet or 'Ace - 8's' = Ace of Hearts, Ace of Clubs, Ace of Diamonds Ace of Spades (4 cards), and cards 2 to 8 which are all paired (which is 14 cards in total) = 18 Cards.

• 'Hi' Bet or "9 - King's' = the one pair of 9's (2 cards), + the Ten, Jack, Queen and King of each of the four suits (16 cards) therefore (2 + 16) = 18 Cards

As with all the bets in this document the critical thing that makes this all possible is the value of the cards (or cards indicia) used and distribution which must follow 'The Golden Rule'. The cards (or cards indicia) used therefore allow the 36 cards to be divided equally and nicely into these two groups of 18. (see figure 8). The 'Hi' and 'Lo' bets effectively add another two bets over and above what a traditional roulette table can offer, as a low bet on a traditional table could arguably be a 1 - 18 bet but the 'Double Suit' bet offered by this game can match that.

To play either a 'Hi' or 'Lo' bet a player simply places their chip/s in the 'Hi' or 'Lo' betting zone when invited to bet by the croupier. Players are betting that the winning card value or outcome of the next spin of the roulette wheel will be either a 'Hi' or 'Lo' card (or cards indicia) value of those stated above.

Odds and Evens bet

A new 'Odd' and 'Even' bet option has also been created and is available in this roulette game (see figure 11 representative of playing area/surface). The 'Odd' and 'Even' again are radically different from a traditional roulette table, for there are 18 numbers available on a traditional roulette table and wheel for both odd and even but in this game using the cards described earlier under 'The Golden Rule' there are 24 cards available and distributed on both the table and roulette wheel so 12 cards (or cards indicia) are available for both Odd and Even and effectively covered by such bets. Therefore Odds' and 'Evens' in this game are effectively two new additional outside dozen bets (see figures '5' and '9') to that which is available on a traditional table.

• The cards for 'Odd' are dictated by 'The Golden Rule' so the odd cards (or cards indicia) are 3, 5, 7 and 9 all of which are paired and there are also the four 'Aces' of each suit making a total of 12 cards. · The cards for 'Even' are again dictated by 'The Golden Rule' so the even cards (or cards indicia) are 2, 4, 6 and 8 all of which are paired and there are also the four 'Tens' of each suit making a total of 12 cards.

This has led to the creation of two new dozen bets available for selection. The odds or return are the same as a standard dozen bet of 2 to1 . To play either an 'Odd' or 'Even' bet a player simply places their chip/s in the 'Odd' or 'Even' betting zone when invited to bet by the croupier. Players are betting that the winning card value or outcome of the next spin of the roulette wheel will be either an 'Odd' or 'Even' card (or cards indicia) value.

'Face Card Zone' Using the cards described earlier under 'The Golden Rule' there are 12 face cards (or cards indicia) available and distributed on both the table playing surfaces 'Main Grid' and on the roulette wheel - 4 Kings of each suit i.e. Spades / Hearts /Diamonds / Clubs, 4 Queens of each suit and 4 Jacks of each suit. Therefore this has led to the creation of a new 'Dozen' bet (see figures 12 & 13 representative of playing area/surface) and therefore offers another additional dozen bet to that which is available on a traditional table. Players are betting that the winning card (or cards indicia) value or outcome of the next spin of the roulette wheel will be a 'Face card'. To play, players simply put their chips in the betting zone labelled 'Face Card Dozen' or 'Face Cards' when invited to bet by the croupier. 'Face Card Dozen' bets have odds of 2 to 1 .

The 'Face Card Zone' can also be seen on Figures 1, 4, 9, 60 and '16'. Note how the Face card zone has been moved on some of the tables to demonstrate how the gaming table and betting options can be changed according to player or Casino preferences. A traditional roulette table offers 6 dozen bets (1 st ,2 nd 3 rd boxes and 3 column bets) this new game is superior in that this game has 9 dozen bets as it has three new dozen bets 'Face card Dozen', 'Odd Dozen' and 'Even Dozen' no game before or currently offers this. When one considers that this game also has more outside bets in the shape of the previously described 'Double Suit Cross Bet or Cross Over bet', 'Suit bets' and 'Hi and Lo' bets, this game effectively has an ADDITIONAL NINE OUTSIDE BETS to those available on a standard roulette table and it is therefore vastly superior by this fact alone this is even before one considers the many other additional betting elements and game play available in this game.

Note a 'Non Face Card bet zone' could also be provided please see appendix X although this is likely to be superfluous.

'Multibet' bets and betting zone

A completely new 'Multibet' zone bets has also been created in this roulette game and now available for players to select. This 'Multibet' zone (please see figures Ί4- 15) can also be included on the main playing surface (note this has been excluded from figures such as '4', and '16' but could easily be added) .

The cards that make up this zone are dictated by the 'Golden Rule' and basically are those listed in figure 7'.

This zone allows players to bet that a particular value of card (or cards indicia) will be produced on the next spin of the roulette wheel e.g. a player may feel an 'Ace' will be produced on the next spin and place a bet on the 'Aces' bet zone (please see figures Ί5). The wheel has 4 Aces of each suit (Diamonds, Hearts, Spades & and the winning odds are 1 :8.

As with all of the other bets described this zone could be played solely on its own if one desired using the 'World Wheel' or one of the others described. It therefore could be used with or without the 'Main Card Grid' and one could include on the playing surface whatever betting zones listed in this document next to it and play at the same time. The cards used in the Multibet zone again are dictated by the 'Golden Rule' and one can see once more cards 2-9 are only paired, whilst the 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace's have all 4 suits available. This very much influences the odds which are stated in the betting zone for the players and croupiers convenience as one can see in figure 14. All cards from 2 to 9 are paired and have odds of 1 :17 the remaining cards Aces, Tens, Jacks, Queens and Kings have odds of 1 :8. (Note some casinos may vary these odds). Jokers on a State version have odds of 1 :17, the Joker multibet is likely to be judged superfluous to needs and made unavailable in a 'Multibet' zone when used in conjunction with a World Wheel.

'Running bets' 'Running bets' are also a new feature in this game that allows the outcome of successive spins of the roulette wheel to be tracked. 'Running bets' effectively provide players the new option of accumulative bets in a range of different games that the unique card distribution allows (e.g. Blackjack, Royal Flushes, Straights, 3 of a Kind etc described elsewhere in this document). Only the croupier/dealer is permitted to handle chips in the black zones (see figs 2, 3, 22 and W which are representative of the playing area/surface one would find on the roulette table, demonstrating both the players betting zones and black croupier controlled zones ). No betting or handling of chips by players in these zones is permitted. When invited to do so by the croupier, players place their stake in the green boxes as demonstrated in fig '22' (please note the low straight is a blue box - colour is not important). Failure by a player to follow this rule can render their bets chips etc void and players may lose such chips or be asked to leave the table. Houses/casinos will very likely have a minimum stake associated with these as with other bets e.g. $5/£5 there is likely to be a house maximum also associated with 'Running bets' because of the high odds available and high return if a bet is successful e.g. Royal Flush. The 'Running bet' chips should ideally be dedicated chips so they are readily identifiable chips for ease of identification for both croupier/dealers and players but this not essential. In the event the players Running bet is 'active' and a 'winning' element is produced by the wheel in keeping with what is required for that zone the croupier can promote chips into the black zone areas either keeping the bet active or paying out a Running bet. The croupier will promote or award such winning bets using chips from the 'bank'.

Only the croupier can move the winning chip/s from the black zone and award them to a winning player/s. Similarly players must not touch their chip/s in the bet zones until such times the 'Running bet' is won and the croupier gives them their winnings. If a player removes their chip/s from the bet zone while the Running bet is active they run the risk of the Running bet being voided and losing any associated chips. Note a player cannot duplicate and commence a new 'Running Bet' if they have chips active in a black zone.

A casino may choose to only play the 'Running' bets of the game and omit the 'Main Card Grid' (an example of a table playing surface is provided in fig 60) or vice versa or include all aspects of the game covered in this document. The game has the flexibility to allow all or some of the games/bets described in this document to be played. Please see also appendix III.

Flush betting zones

Please refer to Figure '23' which demonstrates the 'Flush' and 'Royal flush' zones. A new 'Flush' bet option has been created and is available in this roulette game. This too is a Running bet and follows the rules of 'Running bets' explained earlier. In order to play, players when invited by the croupier to place 'your bets' must place their chip/s in the designated flush betting zone. See figure 23-25 which are representative of the playing area/surface one would find on the roulette table, demonstrating both the players betting zone and black croupier controlled zone and also with associated explanation of game play). The payout odds for a flush are closely associated with the probability of them occurring.

If at any point a suit other than the player's flush/s selection comes up on the wheel

the player loses their bet/stake. Note a player cannot duplicate and commence a new 'Running Bet' if they have chips active in a black zone. The same rules for 'Running bets' described earlier apply for 'Flush' bets. As with all of the other bets described this zone could be played solely on its own or in combination with others described.

NOTE: Some casinos/houses may allow players to 'fold' 'Running' active bets and allowing the player to have their chips back halting the Running bet but this is at the casinos/houses discretion. Some casinos/houses may even pay a low token return when 'folding' but this again is at the casinos/houses discretion.

Royal flush bets and betting zone

A new 'Royal flush' bet option has been created and is available in this roulette game. A' Royal flush' bet follows a similar sequence as a flush bet. This too is a Running bet and follows the rules of 'Running bets' explained earlier. To place a bet on the 'Royal Flush' zone a player must commit a chip/s to the betting stake zone when invited to do so by the croupier (see figures 26-

27 which are representative of the playing area/surface one would find on the roulette table, demonstrating both the players betting zone and black croupier controlled zone and also with associated explanation of game play) .

In order for a player to win, the wheel must on 5 successive spins produce 5 cards of the same suit and of the appropriate value (i.e. 10 / Jack / Queen / King / Ace must all be spun) i.e. 5 consecutive spins. If this is achieved the player has won and is paid out according to the house odds for a 'Royal Flush'.

The payout odds for a 'Royal Flush' are closely associated with the probability of them occurring.

If at any point a suit out with the player's 'Royal Flush/s' selection is produced by the roulette wheel or a value is duplicated, the player loses their bet/stake.

Note the Royal Flush does not have to come out in sequence in order for a player to win. All five 'Royal flush cards' in any order just have to come out in a row (although some casinos/electronic versions may vary and stipulate they have to come out in order or award a better return for doing so). Note a player cannot duplicate and commence a new 'Running Bet' if they have chips active in a black zone. The same rules for 'Running bets' described earlier apply for 'Royal Flush' bets.

As with all of the other bets described this zone could be played solely on its own or in combination with others described.

'Straight' bets and betting zone

A new 'Straight' bet option has been created and is available in this roulette game. The 'Golden Rule' dictates the cards used and their distribution. The 'Straights' available are very much influenced by which cards are available and depending on whether cards are paired or have all four cards available influences the odds. This too is a Running bet and follows the rules of 'Running bets' explained earlier.

Players place their bets in the Straight stake zone (please see fig 28-29 which are representative of the playing area/surface one would find on the roulette table, demonstrating both the players betting zone and black croupier controlled zone and also with associated explanation of game play) selecting a High or Low Straight or both if they wish. The High (or Hi) Straight as can be seen in the figure 28 consists of paired cards of values 6, 7, 8, 9 and four cards with the value of 'Ten' for all four suits. The Low (or Lo) Straight consists of four cards with the value of 'Ace' again for all four suits and the paired cards 2, 3, 4 and 5's. The card suits available depend on those selected but the values of cards remain constant and dictated by the 'Golden Rule'.

Once the croupier/dealer is satisfied that the table is in order (i.e. all winning bets have been paid, the marker removed and losing bets/chips removed and all 'Running bets' are in order) the players are invited by the croupier/dealer to 'place their bets'. At this point a fresh round of betting can begin.

In order for a player to win and achieve a 'Straight' all 5 cards for that Straight selection have to be spun in succession i.e. 5 consecutive spins.

The payout odds for a Straight are closely associated with the probability of them occurring.

Note that casino odds may vary and the odds for a 'Straight' are lower than that of a Royal Flush. The chances of a 'Straight' occurring in the game (as with Poker) are higher; the game therefore maintains and reflects this.

Note the Straight does not have to come out in sequence in order to win i.e. all five card values in any order just have to come out in a row (although some casinos/electronic versions may vary and stipulate they have to come out in order or award a better return for doing so). If at any point a card value out with the players 'Straight' selection comes up on the wheel the player loses their bet/stake. Any value that is duplicated will result in the player also losing their bet/stake. Note a player cannot duplicate and commence a new 'Running Bet' if they have chips active in a black zone. The same rules for 'Running bets' apply for 'Straight' bets. As with all of the other bets described this zone could be played solely on its own or in combination with others described.

Please note electronic versions could offer an 'Any card Straight' and would offer more flexibility than play available on a table versions of this game e.g. restrictions on Hi and Lo Straights could be removed and a Straight could for example comprise of 3,5,7,8,9 or 8,9,10,Jack,Queen or effectively any Straight combination consisting of five consecutive cards. 'Royal Straight' bets and betting zone

A new Royal Straight bet option has been created and is available in this roulette game see fig 30. This too is a 'Running bet' and follows the rules of 'Running bets' explained earlier. The Royal Straight type bet is better suited for electronic versions because of the practicalities monitoring such bets. It would be a difficult task for croupiers but computer software and electronic versions could track and control such bets with relative ease.

In order to play, players when invited by the croupier to place 'your bets' players must then place their chips in the designated betting 'Royal Straight' Zone.

(see figures 30 & 31 which are representative of the playing area/surface one would find on the roulette table, demonstrating both the players betting zone and black croupier controlled zone and also with associated explanation of game play).

The payout odds for a 'Royal Straight' are closely associated with the probability of them occurring.

Note that casino odds may vary and the odds for a 'Royal Straight' are lower than that of a 'High and Low' straights described above in the Straight zone. This is because each suit has all four Kings, Queens, Jacks, Aces and Tens represented on both the table and wheel whereas cards 'two to nine' are only paired. The chances of a 'Royal Straight' occurring in the game are therefore slightly higher. Note the 'Royal Straight' does not have to come out in sequence in order for a player to win i.e. all five card values in any order just have to come out in a row (although some casinos/electronic versions may vary and stipulate they have to come out in order or award a better return for doing so), if at any point a card value out with the players 'Royal Straight' selection comes up on the wheel the player loses their bet/stake. Any value that is duplicated will result in the player also losing their bet/stake.

As with all of the other bets described this zone could be played solely on its own or in combination with others described.

'Face Card Straight' bets and betting zone

A new 'Face Card Straight' bet has been created in this game and also available for players to select. This too is a 'Running bet' and follows the rules of 'Running bets' explained earlier. Due to the nature of such bets this type of bet lends itself better to electronic/computer versions. In order to play, players when invited by the croupier to place 'your bets' must place their chips in the designated betting zone for 'Face Card Straight' bets (see figure 32 which is representative of the playing area/surface one would find on the roulette table, demonstrating both the players betting zone and black croupier controlled zone and also with associated explanation of game play).

If any 'Face Card' is the winning card/card indicia value on the next spin of the roulette wheel the croupier/dealer will place a chip (from the bank) on the appropriate card box within the croupier controlled Black zone to indicate the 'Face Card Straight' is 'active'.

In order for a player to win and achieve a 'Face Card Straight' they must firstly when invited to do so by the croupier place their chips in the designated betting zone at commencement of play. The next three consecutive spins of the roulette wheel must produce in succession all 3 cards for that 'Face Card Straight' i.e. 3 consecutive spins producing a King, Queen and Jack of any suit in any order.

The payout odds for a 'Face card Straight' are closely related to the probability of achieving the desired cards/card indicia in three consecutive spins, Houses/Casinos may vary. Casino's/Houses may stipulate that the cards/card indicia need to come out in ascending order. As with all of the other bets described this zone could be played solely on its own or in combination with others described.

Face Card Flush' bets and betting zone A new 'Face Card Flush' bet option is also available for players to select in this roulette game. This too is a 'Running bet' and follows the rules of 'Running bets' explained earlier. In order to play, players when invited by the croupier to place 'your bets' must place their chips in the designated betting zone for a 'Face Card Flush' bet/s (see figures 33-35 which are representative of the playing area/surface one would find on the roulette table, demonstrating both the players betting zone and black croupier controlled zone and also with associated explanation of game play) .

If on the next spin of the roulette wheel a 'Face Card' is the winning value and a player/s has bet on that suit the croupier/dealer will take a chip of the colour belonging to the player, from the 'bank' and place it on the appropriate suit box in the croupier controlled Black area of the Running zone to indicate the Face Card Flush is now active, all other losing bets are removed.

In order for a player to win and achieve a 'Face Card Flush' this process must continue till all 3 cards for that 'Face Card Flush' selection have been spun in succession i.e. 3 consecutive spins producing a King, Queen and Jack of a particular suit. If this is achieved the player has won and is paid out according to the house odds for a 'Face Card Flush'.

The payout odds for a 'Face card Flush' are closely related to the probability of achieving the desired cards with three consecutive spins, Houses/Casinos may vary. Casino's/Houses may stipulate that the cards need to come out in ascending order. If at any point a suit other than the player's 'Face card Flush' selection comes up on the wheel the player loses their bet/stake. Note a player cannot duplicate and commence a new 'Running Bet' if they have chips active in a black zone.

'4 OF A KIND' bets and betting zone

A new '4 of a Kind' bet has been created in this game and also available for players to select. This too is a Running bet and follows the rules of 'Running bets' explained earlier. The '4 of a Kind' bet as you can see from figures 36-37 are designed so players can bet that a 'King, Queen, Jack, Ten or Ace' will be the winning card produced on the roulette wheel for the next four spins of the roulette wheel. (Please note that the cards used follow the 'Golden Rule' and means that there is a 'King, Queen, Jack, Ten or Ace' of each suit available on the Main Card Grid and the roulette wheel. These are the only card values which are represented by all 4 suits)

(see figures 36 and 37 which are representative of the playing area/surface one would find on the roulette table, demonstrating both the players betting zone and black croupier controlled zone and has an example of associated game play). In order for a player to win and achieve '4 of a Kind' a player first must place their chips in the designated '4 of a kind' betting zone. The next four spins of the roulette wheel must produce as its winning card/card indicia all 4 cards of the same 'value' (e.g. 4 Kings spun in succession i.e. 4 consecutive spins).

The payout or odds for a '4 of a kind' are closely related to the probability of achieving the desired 4 cards of the same value cards for the required 4 spins.

Note that casinos may vary and the odds for a '4 of a kind' are lower than that of a 'Royal Flush'. Some casinos/houses/electronic versions may stipulate that the 'Four of a kind' have to be ALL of different suits or may accept or offer lower odds for the right value being produced but with duplication of suit.

If at any point a value of card out with the players '4 of a kind' selection comes up on the roulette wheel the player loses their bet/stake. Note a player cannot duplicate and commence a new 'Running Bet' if they have chips active in a black zone. The same rules for 'Running bets' apply for '4 of a Kind' bets. Note also '3' of a kind betting zone (and even 2 of a kind) are also possible see below. As with all of the other bets described this zone could be played solely on its own or in combination with others described. '3 OF A KIND & '2 OF A KIND' bets and betting zones

New 'Three of a Kind' and 'Two of a Kind' bets have also been created in this game and now available for players to select. 'Three of a Kind' and 'Two of a Kind' betting follows the rules stated above for 'Four of a Kind' bets and 'Running bets' generally. The winning outcome is obviously dependant on fewer spins with three consecutive spins for '3 of a Kind' and two for '2 of a Kind'. (see Figures 38 and 39 are representative of the playing area/surface one would find on the roulette table, demonstrating both the players betting zone and black croupier controlled zone).

The payouts or odds are closely related to the probability of achieving the desired number of cards of the same value cards in the required number of spins. So '3 of a Kind' has less odds than '4 of a Kind' and '2 of a Kind' is lower still. The same rules for 'Running bets' apply for '2 of a Kind' and '3 of a Kind' bets.

These betting zones could also be added to the many playing areas demonstrated in this document e.g. they have been added to figures '16' and '20' (see also figure BO'). As with all of the other bets described this zone could be played solely on its own or in combination with others described. 'Paired of a Kind' bets and betting zone

A new 'PAIRED of a Kind' bet has been created in this game and is also available for players to select. This too is a 'Running bet' and follows the rules of 'Running bets' explained earlier. The 'Paired of a Kind' bet as you can see from fig 40 is designed so players can bet that any of the paired cards '2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9' will be the winning card produced on the roulette wheel for a required number of spins of the roulette wheel in succession e.g. 'Paired 2 of a Kind' would mean that the next two spins of the roulette wheel would have to produce the players chosen pair on the next two spins of the roulette wheel.

Figure 40 is representative of the playing area/surface one would find on the roulette table, demonstrating both the players betting zone and black croupier controlled zone.

Please note that the cards used follow the 'Golden Rule' and means that the paired cards '2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9' are the only paired cards (out with the Joker/s) available on the Main Grid and the roulette wheel and are the only cards/card indicia available for selection for such 'paired' bets. Please also note this zone could be adapted so each betting zone is separate and individualised for all of the paired cards from '2' to '9'; please see Appendix VIII which gives an example of this. Magnificent sevens is a zone similar to Paired 3 of a kind only this time the zone has been individualised to a particular value in this case 7's. Note any value of card could have the same betting zone and individualised or adapted to that value of card e.g. it could be Fantastic Fours for 4's, Famous Fives for 5's, Sixy Sixes for 6's etc. This zone follows the rules of 'Running bets' described earlier. To play, when invited to do so by the croupier a player places their stake/chips in a bet zone box (similar to that shown in the diagram below). In order for the player to win the next three consecutive spins of the roulette wheel must produce a winning card/card indicia with the value of '7'. This zone could be adapted so two '7's wins or four '7's.

As with all of the other bets described this zone could be played solely on its own or in combination with others described.

'Any of a Kind' or 'Universal Any of a Kind' bets and betting zone

New 'Any of a Kind' bets have also been created in this roulette game and now available for players to select. 'Any of a Kind' bet basically allows players to wager that the next two, three, four or five spins of the roulette wheel will produce a repeated value of a particular card (see figure 41). This too is a Running bet and follows the rules of 'Running bets' explained earlier. What makes this bet appealing is it does not require players to specify the value of the card only the number of times the wheel will produce that value in subsequent consecutive spins. The odds for these bets would be closely associated with the probability of occurring.

The 'Any of a Kind' bet is better suited for electronic versions because of the practicalities monitoring such bets. It would be a difficult task for croupiers but computer software and electronic versions could track and control such bets with relative ease.

Since 'Any of a Kind' bets allow players the advantage of not having to specify the card value that will be repeated the odds are very much lower than the 'Two of a Kind', 'Three of a Kind' and 'Four of a Kind' described previously'.

Figure 41 is representative of the playing area/surface one would find on the roulette table, demonstrating both the players betting zone and black croupier controlled zone.

This bet could be further adapted to provide a new 'UN IVERSAL Tens, Faces and Aces Kind of bet' and or also a new 'UN IVERSAL PAIRED of a Kind' bet please see figures 42 and 43. These types of bets are better suited for electronic versions because of the practicalities monitoring such bets. It would be a difficult task for croupiers but computer software and electronic versions could track and control such bets with relative ease. These too are a Running bet and follow the rules of 'Running bets' explained earlier. The odds for these bets would be closely associated with the probability of occurring. 'UNIVERSAL Tens, Faces and Aces Kind of bet' (see figure 42 - representative of the playing area/surface one would find on the roulette table, demonstrating both the players betting zone and black croupier controlled zone). Here players can bet that the next series of spins of the roulette wheel will produce the required number Of a Kind' of cards of the value Ten, Jack, Queen, King or Ace. The player this time is not specifying the value of the card only the number of times any one of these card values will be repeated as the winning card produced on the subsequent 'stipulated' number of spins of the roulette wheel.

'UNIVERSAL PAIRED of a Kind' (alternatively 'Paired Kind of) - see figure 43 - - representative of the playing area/surface one would find on the roulette table, demonstrating both the players betting zone and black croupier controlled zone). Here players can bet that the next series of spins of the roulette wheel will produce the required number 'of a Kind' of cards for any of the values '2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9'. The player this time is not specifying the value of the card only the number of times any one of these card values will be repeated as the winning card produced on the subsequent 'stipulated' number of spins of the roulette wheel. Blackjack Bet

Blackjack or Standard Blackjack

New 'Blackjack' bets have also been created in this roulette game and now available for players to select. In this game 'Blackjack' can be played in a number of ways but each variation is only slightly different e.g. with the starting card or end card required changed or the number of spins required. These too are 'Running bets' and follow the rules of 'Running bets' explained earlier.

As with all of the other bets described this zone could be played solely on its own or in combination with others described.

With this type of bet the player is betting on two successive spins in the hope that the two winning cards generated by the wheel add up to 21 (similar to the playing card game Blackjack). In order to win the wheel must generate a combination that adds up to 21 i.e. an ace plus a 'Face card' or a 'Ten' (or other way round depending on house rules See also appendix IV).

A joker at any point results in any Blackjack bets being lost. Other new variations of Blackjack are available and described in this document. The first version described here would be called 'Standard Blackjack'. To play the Blackjack section/s players must place their stake on the Blackjack stake zone

(see figs 44, 45 & 46 which are representative of the playing area/surface one would find on the roulette table, demonstrating both the players betting zone and black croupier controlled zone and has an example of associated game play). In order for the bet to become active the roulette wheel on the (first) next spin must produce an 'ACE' (Any other card values results in the bet being lost). In the event the wheel does produce an 'ACE' the croupier will place a chip (from the 'bank' the same as the winning players chip/s) within the 'Face/Ten zone' to indicate the bet/s are active. To complete the bet and win the next spin of the roulette wheel must produce a Face card' or 'Ten'

Note a player cannot duplicate and commence a new 'Running Bet' if they have chips active in a black zone. Note the figs 44, 45 & 46 are referred to as 'Standard Blackjack' or 'Blackjack' game. The payout odds for a 'Blackjack' are closely associated with the probability of that sequence occurring.

Blackjack - 'Kings and Aces Blackjack'

This version is slightly modified and as the name implies the winning card combination is restricted to Kings and Aces (see fig 47, which is representative of the playing area/surface one would find on the roulette table, demonstrating both the players betting zone and black croupier controlled zone.)

The odds and return are therefore higher, as the chances of winning are less. To play a player must commit his chips/stake in the designated bet zone. In order for a player to win the wheel must produce a 'King' of any suit on the first spin of the roulette wheel and the next spin must produce an Ace of any suit (note this could be reversed so it could be the roulette wheel must produce an 'Ace' of any suit on the first spin and the next spin must produce a King of any suit). The rules for 'Running bets' described above apply.

Blackjack - 'Aces and Faces Blackjack' Again this version is a slight modification of the above - please see fig: 48 which is representative of the playing area/surface one would find on the roulette table, demonstrating both the players betting zone and black croupier controlled zone.

With this version players bet on the Ace betting zone. In order for a player/s to win the roulette wheel must first produce an 'Ace' followed on the next spin by a 'Face card' The rules for 'Running bets' described above apply. (Note: alternatively this can be swapped around so a face card must be produced on the wheel followed by an Ace in order for players to win.)

A house/casino may offer players the opportunity to play all these versions simultaneously. Blackjack - '21 Blackjack'

The Blackjack element can be adapted further (particularly Electronic and online versions) so any combination of cards when added together come to a value of 21 or a Five card trick totalling a value of 21 or less can be included. A player would place a bet to speculate the next 3 spins, 4 spins or 5 spins will produce a total value of 21 or less (2 spins could obviously be incorporated but most likely would have to add up exactly to '21 ' without the option of Or less' available). The odds associated with such bets gets progressively higher as does the payout. An example of such a betting zone is in fig 49 which is representative of the playing area/surface one would find on the roulette table, demonstrating both the players betting zone and black croupier controlled zone. This again would be a 'Running bet' and players would follow the rules and restrictions of 'Running bets' described elsewhere in this document. As with a game of cards the first 'Ace' would be rated with a value of ten, any Ace thereafter would have a value of one (some casino's may stipulate that a third ace would have a value of ten again.)

Please see also Appendix IX. Another betting zone that could be made available is a 17 121 bet please refer to appendix IX's diagram which is representative of the playing area/surface one would find on the roulette table, demonstrating both the players betting zone and black croupier controlled zone. This zone is better suited for electronic versions. In order to play players place their chips/stake in the betting zone provided see yellow box in diagram . Here players are betting that the next two winning cards produced on the next two spins of the roulette wheel will come to a value of between 17 and 21 inclusive i.e. the total value of the two cards added together. This zone follows the rules of 'Running bets' described earlier.

Note: Face cards have a value of ten for the purposes of all games described.

FULL HOUSE' bets and betting zone New 'Full House' bets have also been created in this roulette game and now available for players to select. This too is a 'Running bet' and follows the rules of 'Running bets' explained earlier. The object of betting in the 'Full House' zone is to wager that the next 5 series of spins of the roulette wheel result in cards which would make up a Poker hand 'Full House'. A 'Full House' is essentially three matching cards of one rank and two of another rank. This too can be incorporated within the game. However the nature of getting a 'Full House' means that it is not so practical on a simple roulette type table. However, electronic or computer versions of the game would allow a 'Full House' bet because of the ease by which each spin could be listed, 'memorised' and displayed on computer screens etc. As like other 'Running' bets described in the game the player would place their chip/s in the 'Full House' betting area (see fig 50 which is representative of the playing area/surface one would find on the roulette table, demonstrating both the players betting zone and black croupier controlled zone.\ and the next 5 spins of the roulette wheel would have to produce three matching cards of one rank and two of another rank described above. If at any point the wheel did not produce a card consistent with a 'Full House', the bet would be lost. A player cannot duplicate and commence a new 'Running Bet' if they have chips active in a black zone. Note: The payouts for a 'Full House' for the game described would vary due to the cards available which are dictated by the 'Golden Rule' e.g. A 'Full House' with two sevens and 3 kings would pay more than a 'Full House' with 2 Queens and 3 Kings simply because Face/Ten cards have all 4 suits where as cards 2-9 are paired. The 'Full House' zone would be incorporated into Figures Ί ', '2', '16' and '20'.

Transition Zone bets and betting or Single Transition bets and betting zone

Completely new 'Transitional zone' bets have also been created for this roulette game and now available for players to select. These too are 'Running bets' and follow the rules of 'Running bets' explained earlier. All transition bets lend themselves better to electronic versions but that is not to say they couldn't be played on a table. All 'Single Transitional zone' bets zones with each of the starting cards are provided in (figure 57) i.e. Diamond, Spade, Heart, or Club. An example of a transition bet zone is provided - see figs 51- 56 which are representative of the playing area/surface one would find on the roulette table, demonstrating both the players betting zone and black croupier controlled zone and has an example of associated game play.

Here players are betting that a particular 'Suit' is going to be the suit of the card produced by the next spin of the roulette wheel. This is their 'start card' and the player is further speculating that the next successive spins of the roulette wheel will produce a change in suit for each spin, so that ALL four suits come out in sequence on the roulette wheel.

In order to play a player picks what suit they feel will be produced by the next spin of the roulette wheel and places their chip/s on the green stake or bet zone.

In order for a player to win and achieve a winning 'Transition bet' the winning card/card indicia produced by the required four successive spins must match the players selected combination of suits.

If at any point during a 'Transition bet' the wheel produces a suit out with the required combination the bet is lost. Note some casinos may allow the sequence to be broken with suits repeating/duplicated just as long as the player gets the first suit correctly bet and all suits come out thereafter for the next spins. Transition bets are paid out according to odds based upon the probability of them occurring and house/casino rules may vary. Note a player cannot duplicate and commence a new 'Running Bet' if they have chips active in that column. Universal Transition bets and betting zone

Completely new 'Universal Transition' bet has also been created. Here a player is able to bet that the next 4 spins of the wheel will produce all 4 suits in any order. The odds for such a bet are lower than a Transition bet or Single Transition bet described above. Due to the number of combinations and difficulty tracking such bets this bet is better suited and controlled on electronic versions which can store and monitor bets placed and outcomes. Note a player cannot duplicate and commence a new 'Running Bet' if they have chips active in a black zone. An example of a 'Universal Transition Bet' zone is demonstrated in figs 58 and 59. Please see also Appendix V.

The Round Table' bets - neighbouring and section bets'

The playing area (figure Ί9) should also appear on the main playing area demonstrated in figure '3'. NOTE: this has not been placed on figure '16' purely because of limited space, however figure '20' shows the manner in which it may be located on the playing area. There are however, countless methods all playing/betting zones could be moved and placed; this is very much dependant on the size of the table and which game elements are going to be played. Figure '20' also demonstrates the other areas with a different orientation too. As stated before there are numerous ways the playing areas could be arranged and orientated.

This play area for 'The Round Table neighbour and section bets' (see fig Ί9) as the name suggests allows players to bet on single 'cards' as well as neighbouring cards and sections. In terms of layout the manner the cards indicia are distributed around the 'ring' mirrors that of the order of card indicia on the wheel being played i.e. figure '19' demonstrates the card distribution when using the 'World wheel' see figure 17.

The pattern distribution of 'cards' for the 'State Wheel' would look essentially the same but with an additional 'Double Joker' space incorporated between '10 of Clubs' and 'Ace of Diamonds' or the others described in appendix XI . Therefore card distribution around the 'Round Table' is very much dependent on the wheel employed. To play this area the player simply places his chip/s on the table and instructs the croupier/dealer which card/s or section they wish to place their stake on. The croupier will then take the players chips and place them according to the player's wishes on the 'Round Table' over the card/ card indicia of their choice. Bets include numerous variations, the main one being: Neighbour bet: 5 chips bet on a card which covers the card itself and the two cards either side of it on the 'Round Table'. How to play the game - simple overview

The game is a roulette based game that incorporates aspects of other playing card games, chiefly Blackjack and Poker. Depending on house/casino rules the croupier/dealer will ask the player what denomination to designate the chips or it may be fixed. Once the designation has been made, the croupier/dealer will place a chip atop a rail near the wheel, and then place a marker atop it to indicate the value of that colour chip for that session. Each player must have chips that distinguishable from other players so winnings etc can be paid by the croupier. Players play by placing their chips on the play area adjacent to the roulette wheel see the many examples demonstrated in figs 1 to 60 of the playing area/table betting area.

Players can play any number of ways e.g. players may choose to place bets on a single card or a range of cards. They may also choose to play a range of 'Running bets' etc. The odds are estimates and houses/casinos may vary.

The roulette component please see figure 61 and photo in Appendix VII

To determine the winning card a croupier/dealer spins a roulette wheel (similar to the picture in fig 61) in one direction then spins a ball in the opposite direction around a tilted circular track running around the circumference of the wheel. The ball eventually falls into the wheel slots displaying the 'cards'/card indicia (37 slots on the 'World wheel', 38 on the 'State wheel' due to the fact the State version has an extra Joker slot (Double Joker - zone.) Where the ball finally rests is the winning 'cardVcard indicia.

The arrangement of the card representations or cards/card indicia on the roulette wheel is demonstrated in figures Ί7', '18' and appendix XI. Note unlike a traditional roulette table there is/are no zero/es only jokers.

The wheel versions created have been named the

• 'World wheel' see figure '17'

• 'State wheel' (a variation of Ί 7'or '18')

It should be noted that the card indicia distributed around each of the wheels demonstrated in '17' and '18' and appendix XI are the same cards that follow the 'Golden Rule' described earlier.

The wheel used must match the playing surface to be used i.e.

• The playing surface in Appendix XII would be used with the 'World Wheel'.

· The playing surface demonstrated in figure '/ ' would use the 'State Wheel' as described and demonstrated fig 17 or fig 18 or those demonstrated in appendix XI. Players can place 'Inside' bets on the 'Main Card Grid' playing surface. 'Inside' bets consist of either selecting the exact card pocket the ball will land in or a range of card pockets, please see previous section on 'Inside bets'.

Players wishing to bet on the 'Outside' will select bets on larger positional grouping zones (please see previous section on 'Outside bets') e.g. whether Red or Black, Double Suit bet, Cross Over bet, Hi or Lo, the Suit, or Dozen bets e.g. A Third of the 'Main Card Grid' - 1 st , 2 nd or 3 rd Dozen, 1 st , 2 nd or 3 rd Columns, Face Card Dozen zone, Odds Dozen or Evens Dozen. The game also has numerous other bets such as Royal Flush, Flush, Straight, 2 of a Kind, 3 of a Kind, 4 of a Kind, Full House, Blackjack zones, Face card Flush, Face Card Straight, Transitional bet zones to name but a few where players can bet on the outcome of a series of spins. The payout odds for each type of bet are based on its mathematical probability of occurring. {All these bets and more are described previously in this document see also 'Multibet' zone and 'The Round Table' zone}.

The roulette table imposes minimum and maximum bets and these rules may vary slightly between casinos/houses/electronic versions/online versions.

For 'Inside' bets at roulette tables, some casinos may use separate/different roulette chips of various colours or symbols to distinguish players at the table. Players can continue to place bets as the ball spins around the wheel until the croupier/dealer announces "no more bets" or "rien ne va plus". Houses/casinos most likely will not allow this for 'Running bets'. Each time a winning card value and colour/suit is established by the wheel the croupier/dealer will place a marker (sometimes referred to as a dolly) on the winning card/card indicia. This marker is placed on the playing surface of the table layout within the 'Main Card Grid' with the placement of the marker directly on the card indicia or on top of those chips occupying that square with the winning card indicia. This allows all to see the winning outcome. If the table being played on does not have a 'Main Card Grid' the croupier will take the appropriate action for the zones in use and being played, (for further detail see preceding pages)

The croupier/dealer generally speaking, will monitor and control game play and ensure the table and all aspects of play are in order (this is done automatically obviously with electronic versions). The croupier ensures bets are placed at the correct times and player's chips are correctly placed and are of the correct denomination etc. The croupier also spins the roulette wheel, prevents late bets and monitors and verifies the winning card/card indicia on the roulette wheel. The croupier is responsible for removing all void/losing chips etc. The croupier/dealer will payout to players who have won (according to odds stated elsewhere). When the croupier/dealer is finished making payouts, the marker removed and has the table in order a new round of betting commences and the croupier/dealer may announce 'place your bets please'. For those times a 'Main Card Grid' is in use and a player or players have won they have the option to leave their original winning chip/s on the 'Main Card Grid' or bet zone and play the same card/s again (providing it does not exceed the house limit) or they can remove them and play another selection if they desire.

Following each spin any 'Running bets' will either lose or become active or remain active or win and the croupier/dealer will place the appropriate chip/s in the active Running zone/s and ultimately payout winning bets or remove the chips of players with losing bets, (for further detail see preceding pages)

A casino may choose to only play the 'Running' bets of the game and omit the 'Main Card Grid' (an example of a table with such a combination is provided in fig 60) or vice versa or include all aspects of the game covered in this document. The game has the flexibility to allow all or some of the games/bets described in this document to be played - Please see example in appendix III. The designs and rules covers the game in any format e.g. from a simple board game to large scale bricks and mortar casino table formats and is also extended to protecting electronic, computer, television, phone applications and online versions of the game and other media.

Variations of table 'Main Card Grid'.

Like any game or design it is of course possible to modify the table design, order of cards or suit of cards Appendix I demonstrates a simple change of suits. The diagrams in Appendix I namely figs 'X', Ύ and are alternative 'Main Card Grids' that could form the playing surface for a game. It can be seen these are just alternative versions of the Card grids used in Figures 1, 2 and '16' with the same 'value of cards' distributed and same colours (red black sequence) but altering the suits. Although these diagrams look different they are all essentially the same and the rules outlined in this document are exactly the same for all these variations. It should be noted that all these versions follow the Golden Rule' described earlier in this document. The cards must be distributed according to the 'Golden Rule' otherwise 'Double Cross over bets' or Double Suit bets' etc are rendered useless.
