Abstract:
Provided is a cassette vibration isolation device which is easy to upkeep (maintain) and which can cause heavy buildings to lift up during an earthquake. The device is provided with: an upper base and a lower base, which face one another from above and below; a cavity section, which is formed between the upper base and the lower base, and the inside of which is filled with fluid; a sealing member, which is provided in an attachable/detachable manner along the inner walls of the cavity section, and which maintains the state wherein the fluid has filled the inside of the cavity section; and a valve device, which connects the cavity section and a fluid supply source, and which supplies fluid to the inside of the cavity section. During an earthquake, the upper base can lift up from the lower base due to the supply of fluid from the valve device to the inside of the cavity section.
