Title:
CASTER HAVING SMOOTH 180° REVERSE ROTATION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/075390
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a caster. Specifically, the invention is a caster that can more smoothly rotate during 180° reverse rotation and, particularly, the weight of an object thereabove can be effectively supported such that the caster can be smoothly rotated in reverse without any shaking of products. In order to accomplish the described objective, with respect to the structure of the caster, a center body, a connection body and a lower body part are sequentially provided below a support plate formed at the upper end portion thereof, specifically, a rotating body is mounted between the connection body and the center body, and, particularly, six thrust ball bearings are mounted between the support plate, the center body, the connection body, the rotating body, and the lower body part so that the caster can smoothly rotate when moving straight, and then changing direction at certain angles and rotating or, especially, when rotating in reverse at 180° and moving in the opposite direction. The rotating body is further added between the connection body and the center body so that the six thrust ball bearings are mounted, and thus the caster can more smoothly rotate during 180° reverse rotation. If an upper pillar part, a lower pillar part, the thrust ball bearings, and the center axis of a wheel are on a straight line when the caster changes direction and rotates or rotates in reverse at 180°, the caster cannot rotate and an excessive load is applied thereto. In order to solve the problem, the rotating body is added between the connection body and the center body, the additional thrust ball bearing is mounted between the connection body and the rotating body, and the additional thrust ball bearing is mounted between the rotating body and the center body. The rotating body is additionally provided so that the upper pillar part and the lower pillar part formed in the center body can be easily separated from the position on the straight line with the thrust ball bearings and the center axis of the wheel, and thus, if the caster changes direction and rotates or rotates in reverse at 180°, the excessive load applied to the caster can be relieved. In addition, the caster has the six thrust ball bearings mounted therein so that the six thrust ball bearings disperse and bear the weight from the upper side of the caster, and thus the durability of the thrust ball bearings can be increased.
