Title:
CASTING APPARATUS AND CASTING METHOD FOR ANCHOR FLUKE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/088332
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A casting apparatus for an anchor fluke, comprising an upper die (2) and a lower die (9). The upper die and the lower die form a mold cavity (10) for casting gating. A funnel-shaped pouring cup (1) is provided on the upper die. Poured molten iron enters a sprue (5) from the pouring cup and then enters the mold cavity through a horizontal ingate (6). A parting line (7) of the upper die and the lower die is at the maximum cross section of an anchor fluke casting. A cross-like core (12) is placed in the mold cavity. Wedge-shaped chills (11) are provided at the front end of the mold cavity. Also disclosed is a casting method for an anchor fluke. In the casting apparatus, the shrinkage cavity and shrinkage porosity within the casting can be reduced by providing wedge-shaped chills, thereby improving the internal quality of casting, and the casting quality and product percent of pass are improved by selecting core assembly molding and a non-pressurized gating system.
