Abstract:
Provided are a catalyst activation method and a catalyst activation device with which it is possible to efficiently and reliably activate an NOx catalyst. A plurality of auxiliary machines are connected to an internal combustion engine 3, each auxiliary machine 4 is provided with a regulatory mechanism 5 for regulating the load exerted on the internal combustion engine 3 by the driving of the auxiliary machine 4, the temperature of an NOx catalyst 1 is acquired, and when the acquired temperature of the NOx catalyst 1 is lower than a catalyst activity temperature, the regulatory mechanisms 5 corresponding to auxiliary machines 4 to be driven are controlled to an auxiliary-machine-driving side, increasing the load on the internal combustion engine 3, for the purpose of additionally driving a number of auxiliary machines 4 corresponding to the temperature difference.
