Abstract:
Provided are: a catalyst composition for polyurethane resin production, which has high resinification reactivity even in the coexistence of water and is stable enough to be stored for a long period of time in a polyol premix containing water, while containing no harmful metal compound such as a tin or lead compound; and a method for producing a polyurethane resin using the catalyst composition. A composition which contains an iron compound represented by general formula (1) and a tertiary amine compound represented by general formula (3) is used as a catalyst for polyurethane resin production. In formula (1), L represents a β-diketonato ligand represented by general formula (2); and n represents 2 or 3. In formula (2), each of R1 and R3 represents an alkyl group having 1-10 carbon atoms; and R2 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1-7 carbon atoms. In formula (3), each of R4-R6 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1-10 carbon atoms; and R7 represents an alkylene group having 1-10 carbon atoms. Fen+(L)n (1)
