Abstract:
A high−activity catalyst which is useful as a catalyst for hydrosilylation, hydrogenation, hydroformylation, or metathesis. It comprises a complex of a metal with a phosphine ligand which, when described with a structure optimized by the ab initio molecular orbital calculation method using 6−31G(d) as the Hartree−Fock method basis function, has a cone angle of 170° or smaller at a radius of X (X<4Å) and has a cone angle of 170° or larger at a radius of Y (Y≥4Å).
