Abstract:
A catalyst converter (1) having a metal carrier (2) formed by layering and rolling
a flat plate and a corrugated plate, a thin-wall container (3) fitted over the
outer periphery of the metal carrier (2) and having a thickness required for diffusion
bonding, a holding mat (4) fitted over the outer periphery of the thin-wall container
(3) and having heat insulation properties and air-tightness, and a container
(6) for receiving the metal carrier (2) where the thin-wall container (3) and
the holding mat (4) are installed and having diffuser sections (5) at both ends
of the container (6).
