Abstract:
A catalyst degradation suppression device for internal combustion engines is designed to inhibit fuel cut in an internal combustion engine when a catalyst device disposed in an engine exhaust system is at a predetermined temperature or thereabove during deceleration of the vehicle and to cause a first motor generator (MG2) connected to a vehicle driving shaft (6) to operate as a power generator so as to charge an electricity storage device (8).
