Abstract:

The present invention provides a catalyst 10 for exhaust gas purification provided with a base material 11 having a wall flow type structure, and a catalyst layer 20. The catalyst layer 20 is provided with: a part A 20a provided inside walls 16 along extending direction X of the walls 16 from an end 13 on the exhaust gas inflow side; a part C 20c provided inside the walls 16 along the extending direction X of the walls 16 from an end 15 on the exhaust gas exit side; and a part B 20b provided so as to be disposed between part A 20a and part C 20c in the extending direction X of the walls 16 from the surface on a side in contact with the inside cell 12 of the walls 16 through the inside of the walls 16 to a surface on a side in contact with the outside cell 14 of the walls 16.
