Abstract:
Disclosed are a catalyst for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, a production method for same, and a production method for hydrocarbon. A polymethyl methacrylate particle dispersion solution, wherein polymethyl methacrylate particles have been dispersed in a mixed solution containing iron nitrate, ethylene glycol and methanol, is allowed to stand and a polymethyl methacrylate particle dispersion gel is made. The obtained polymethyl methacrylate particle dispersion gel is baked to synthesize iron oxide, and a porous material is obtained from the iron oxide by removing the polymethyl methacrylate particles. The obtained porous iron oxide material is pulverized into particles with an average particle diameter of between 1 and 500 µm. Through this process, an iron-based catalyst with a high specific surface area and an average particle diameter that enables easy solid-liquid separation can be obtained, even if a Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reaction is performed using the slurry bed.
