Abstract:
Provided are a catalyst for manufacturing a thermochemical fuel comprising a perovskite oxide that enables manufacturing of fuel thermochemically, and a method for manufacturing the thermochemical fuel. Such a catalyst for manufacturing a thermochemical fuel is used for manufacturing a fuel from heat energy using a two-stage thermochemical cycle of a first temperature and a second temperature that is lower than the first temperature, and is characterized in comprising a perovskite oxide having the compositional formula AXO3±δ (O ≤ δ ≤ 1); here, A is at least one of a rare-earth element, an alkali-earth metal element, or an alkali metal element; X is at least one of a transition metal element or a metalloid element; and O is oxygen.
