Abstract:
A catalyst for purifying fumigation exhaust gas, which comprises a component A containing a metal oxide of at least one metal selected from the group consisting of Ti, Si and Zr or a composite oxide of at least two metals of said group, and a component B containing an oxide of at least one metal selected from the group consisting of V, Cu, W and Cr. This catalyst has a mean pore diameter of 0.010 to 0.070 'mu'm, a pore volume of 0.30 to 0.60 ml/g, and a specific surface area of 50 to 200 m2/g. A fumigation exhaust gas can be purified economically and highly efficiently by using this catalyst.
