Abstract:
This invention relates to: an organic metal compound that includes a bisphosphine monoxide (BPMO) expressed by formula (I), and a central metal (M) comprising an element from group 10 of the periodic table and forming a complex with the BPMO; a production method therefor; a catalyst for polyolefin polymerization including said organic metal compound; and a production method for polyolefins using said catalyst. (In the formula, A1 is a C1-2 alkylene, arylene, or the like; R1a, R1b, R2a, and R2b are a substitutable C1-14 alkyl, a substitutable C3-14 cycloalkyl, a substitutable biphenyl, and a substitutable aryl; and R1a and R1b, as well as R2a and R2b, may be groups that can bond to form a ring structure.) A catalyst composition for polymerizing polyolefins having high activity can be provided as a result of this invention.
