Title:
CATALYST WITH DISCHARGE ELECTRODE OR CARRIER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2001/019515
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A catalyst with a discharge electrode effectively applicable to a method for efficiently decomposing harmful substances such as dioxin in exhaust by plasma discharge, or a carrier for catalyst is disclosed. The catalyst with a discharge electrode or the carrier has a dotted pattern of electrode, a linear electrode which may intersect itself, or a bar-like electrode at least on one side of the plate-like or sheet-like catalyst or the carrier. The plate-like or sheet-like catalyst or carrier may be a cloth, board, or paper catalyst or carrier. The electrode is preferably formed at least on one side of the plate-like or sheet-like catalyst or carrier by printing conductive printing ink containing a metal such as silver, sintering a metal powder, vapor-depositing a metal, or sputtering a metal. The conductive ink may be pasty. A preferable shape of the electrode is comb-teeth.
