The invention concerns catalytic compositions for the cracking of hydrocarbons, containing at least two zeolitic components. At least one first zeolitic component containing aluminum in its structure is selected from amongst zeolites ITQ-7, intergrowths of zeolites ITQ-7, zeolites ITQ-7 interchanged with rare earths and combinations thereof. These compositions are useful as catalysts for cracking in FCC units and make it possible to efficiently obtain C3 and C4 olefins and high gasoline yields. The invention also concerns the use of a zeolitic material containing aluminum in its structure and selected from amongst zeolites ITQ-7, intergrowths of zeolites ITQ-7, zeolites ITQ-7 interchanged with rare earths, intergrowths of zeolites ITQ-7 interchanged with rare earths and combinations thereof as catalytic material in hydrocarbon cracking processes.
