Abstract:
A method of utilizing a catalyzer for sterilizing, disinfecting and purifying air. The catalyzer may use an inorganic porous material such as silicon dioxide, zeolite, diatomite, sepiolite, montmorillonite or aluminum oxide as a carrier, and cordierite or a mullite honeycomb ceramic may also be used as a carrier; the carrier is immersed and soaked in a sodium chlorite stabilizing bath or a chlorine dioxide stabilizing bath, and then dried to complete preparing the catalyzer; then the catalyzer is irradiated by a UV light at room temperature to generate gas-phase free radicals including reactive particles such as ·OH, ·ClO2, ·HO2 and ·O, thereby sterilizing microbial air pollutants such as viruses, bacteria and fungi, and removing chemical air pollutants such as formaldehyde.
