Abstract:
A catch basin where a water drainage branch pipe can be connected to a water drainage main
pipe at low cost, that can be installed easily, and where converging drainage water
can be smoothly discharged without flowing back to the upstream side of the water
drainage main pipe. A catch basin body (2) has an invert section (6) for rectilinearly
communicating an inflow opening (4) and an outflow opening (5) and also has a cleaning
opening (7) formed above the invert section (6). A connection opening (8) to which
a branch body is connected is opened in the catch basin body (2), and the axis of
the connection opening (8) extends sideways at an angle of 45º relative
to a center axis that connects the inflow opening (4) and the outflow opening (5).
A connection opening (15) angled at 45º relative to the axis direction of
the branch body (3) is pivotally connected to the connection section (8) of the
catch basin body (2). The diameters of the opposite openings, which are the connection
opening (8) of the catch basin (2) and that of the connection opening (15) of the
branch body (3), are expanded in the vertical direction so that the openings have
a substantially perfect circular shape.
