Abstract:
This catheter assembly (10) is provided with: a catheter (20) having, along the central axis thereof, an inner cavity (20a); and an inner needle (50) retractably inserted through the inner cavity (20a). The inner needle (50) includes: an inner needle-side body part (52); a blade face (58) inclined with respect to the central axis of the inner needle (50); and an engaging face (64a) provided on at least a portion of an outer surface which connects the inner needle-side body part (52) and the blade face (58). The catheter (20) has, in an assembled state, a second facing surface (32) brought into contact with the engaging surface (64a).
