Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a catheter, catheter set, medical device, and ultrasonic measurement method whereby it is possible to accurately measure the thickness and the like of an object without excessively pressing the object.　This catheter (1) is used by contacting the distal end (11t) of an inner shaft (11) or the distal end (21t) of an outer shaft (21) with an object (b) and is characterized by being provided with: the inner shaft (11), which has a lumen (11h) along the long axis direction; the outer shaft (21), which is provided to cover the outer circumference of the inner shaft (11); and an ultrasonic element (31), which is positioned between the inner shaft (11) and the outer shaft (21), is disposed proximal to at least one of the distal end (11t) of the inner shaft (11) and the distal end (21t) of the outer shaft (21), and is able to transmit and receive ultrasonic waves.
