Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an asymmetrical bending-type catheter in which the bent shape of a distal section of the catheter differs between one side and the other side. This catheter includes: a shaft; a first wire and a second wire; a plate spring arranged so as to divide an internal cavity in the shaft into a first section in which the first wire is arranged and a second section in which the second wire is arranged; a support member; and a first coil having an internal cavity in which the first wire is arranged. The first coil is fixed to at least two locations on the proximal end side of the plate spring, the first coil has a total length L1 when in a natural state and a total length LC1 when maximally compressed, and the ratio LC1/L1 thereof is 0.9 or more.
