Abstract:

Provided is a novel cathode active material that can suppress resistance and improve a rate property and a cycle property while increasing lithium ion conductivity, said cathode active material being obtained by covering, with a lithium ion conductive oxide such as LiNbO3, a surface of particles that comprise a spinel type complex oxide including Li, Mn, O, and two or more elements aside from these. Proposed is a cathode active material for an all-solid-state lithium secondary battery, said cathode active material being characterized in that a surface of main core particles that comprise a spinel type complex oxide including Li, Mn, O, and two or more elements aside from these is covered with an amorphous compound including Li, A (A is one or more elements selected from the group consisting of Ti, Zr, Ta, Nb, and Al), and O, and the molar ratio (Li/A) of Li to the A element(s) in the surface, as obtained by XPS, is 1.0-3.5.
