Abstract:
The present invention relates to a secondary particle precursor for a cathode active material, a cathode active material prepared therefrom, a preparation method therefor, and a lithium secondary battery comprising same, wherein: the secondary particle precursor comprises a core part and a shell part; the secondary particle precursor has a particle diameter (D50) of 6±2 ㎛; the particle diameter (D50) of the core part is 1-5 ㎛; and the core part has higher porosity than the shell part. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the cathode active material prepared using the foregoing secondary particle precursor for a cathode active material has an increased rolling density, leading to a reduction in cracking.
