Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for preparing a sulfur-carbon composite, comprising a carbon material pretreatment step. The method for preparing a sulfur-carbon composite, according to the present invention, effectively removes moisture and other impurities from a carbon material, and thus if a sulfur-carbon composite prepared by the method is applied as a cathode active material of a lithium-sulfur battery, the sulfur-loading capacity and overvoltage performance of the lithium-sulfur battery are improved. In addition, the initial irreversible capacity of the cathode active material decreases, and output characteristics and lifespan characteristics are improved.
