Abstract:
A cathode terminal section (CT) comprises a filament (F), a filament support pin (22), a base member (23), a side−wall member (24), and an aperture member (25). The filament support pin (22) to which the filament (F) is electrically connected is fixed on the base member (23). The side−wall member (24) has an opening (24a) in the direction of electron emission of the filament (F) and is so provided on the base member (23) as to surround the filament (F). The aperture member (25) on a sheet is so provided on the side−wall member (24) as to cover the opening (24a). The aperture member (25) has an opening (25a) in front of the filament (F) in the direction of electron emission. The distance from the surface of the aperture member (25) as the side−wall member (24) is fixed on the base member (23) to the tip of the filament (F) is set at a value larger than the thickness of the aperture member (25).
