Abstract:
The invention relates to a cationic electrodeposition coating composition which gives through electrodeposition an uncured coating exhibiting a storage modulus (G') of 80 to 500dyn/cm2 at 140°C and a loss elasticity (G”) of 10 to 150dyn/cm2 at 80°C; and a method of coating with the composition. The G' and G” values can be adjusted by adding crosslinked resin particles having a mean particle size of 1.0 to 3.0μm and/or an inorganic pigment to the coating composition. The invention can attain both excellent surface smoothness of cationic electrodeposition coating film and excellent covering ofedge faces.
