Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a cationic polymerization initiator for synthesizing a polymer that has a reactive functional group at an end (a terminally reactive polymer); a terminally reactive polymer that is obtained using this polymerization initiator; a terminally modified polymer that is obtained using this terminally reactive polymer; and a graft polymer. A cationic polymerization initiator according to the present invention is represented by general formula (1). (In the formula, each of R1, R2 and R3 independently represents a hydrogen atom or a non-nucleophilic organic group; X1 represents a halogen atom; and Y- represents a counter anion.)
