Abstract:
A cBN sintered body characterized by comprising cBN particles and a binding phase, wherein the contained amount of the cBN particles is 40-80 vol%, the binding phase contains Ti boride particles, and 3.0≤X/Y≤10.0 is satisfied where Y represents the total sum of lengths of envelope interfaces at which the respective cBN particles make contact with the binding phase, and X represents the sum of interface lengths with respect to the Ti boride particles that exist within 2 μm around the surfaces of the respective cBN particles and that result in an unevenness of 1.3-30.0. Unevenness: L2/(4πS) (L represents the interface length of said Ti boride particles, and S represents the area of the Ti boride particles)
