Abstract:
The cBN sintered compact comprises cubic boron nitride particles and a ceramic binder phase, wherein WSi2 particles having an average particle diameter of 10-200 nm inclusive are dispersed in such a manner as to give a content of 1-20 vol% inclusive in the sintered compact. A cutting tool is provided with the cBN sintered compact as the tool base body.
