A CDN-based data transmission method, apparatus and system, and a computer-readable storage medium and a computer program product. The method comprises: dividing the whole CDN network into multiple small regions, wherein each of the regions corresponds to one source station, and the source station can only affect a network inside the region where the source station is located, but not affect the other regions, thereby avoiding the problem of the whole network being unable to be used due to the occurrence of a failure in one source station. In addition, in the present application, a two-layer network architecture with an edge node and a source station is constructed, and an intermediate regional node is removed, such that the edge node can acquire positioning information only from a source station without acquiring audio and video data streams from the source station; moreover, the amount of data in the positioning information is much less than the amount of data in the audio and video data streams. Therefore, the present application greatly reduces the consumption of bandwidths of a CDN internal network.
