Abstract:
In the present invention, a ceiling conveying vehicle provided with a hoist travels on a traveling rail that is for the ceiling conveying vehicle and that has a linear section and a curved section connected to the linear section. Provided below the traveling rail of the ceiling conveying vehicle is a traveling rail that: is for a local cart; allows vertical passage of articles; has one end located below the linear section; extends from the one end in parallel with the extension line of the linear section to the upper part of a ground-side article hand-over position; and has the other end not located below the linear section. A buffer for articles is provided below the linear section and below the traveling rail for the local cart. Articles are transferred between the ground-side article hand-over position and the buffer by the local cart that is provided with the hoist and that travels on the traveling rail for the local cart.
