Abstract:
A ceiling fan (1) is provided with: a support column portion; a motor (3); a blade portion; a person detection unit (5); and an operation control unit (6). The operation control unit (6) is provided with an activity amount calculation unit (7), an air volume determination unit (8), and a motor control unit (9). The activity amount calculation unit (7) calculates an activity amount on the basis of a signal detected by the person detection unit (5). The air volume determination unit (8) determines an air volume using the activity amount. The motor control unit (9) controls the operation of the motor (3) on the basis of the air volume determined by the air volume determination unit (8). The air volume determination unit (8) has an air volume maintenance period which is valid only for a predetermined period, wherein the air volume is not changed depending on a change in activity amount during the air volume maintenance period.
