Abstract:

The present invention relates to a light-weight and highly rigid ceiling unit (7) and an elevator car (1) which is provided with the ceiling unit (7). The ceiling unit (7) is provided with a first side beam (711) held by at least one of a plurality of upstanding columns (4) rising from an elevator car floor plate (3); a second side beam (711) held parallel to the first side beam (711) by an upstanding column (4) among the plurality of upstanding columns (4), the upstanding column (4) being different from the upstanding column (4) holding the first side beam (711); a rear beam (712) for connecting the rear ends of the first and second side beams (711, 711); and a ceiling plate (72) held such that the lower surface thereof is in contact with the first and second side beams (711, 711) and with the rear beam (712).
