Title:
CELL AGGREGATION DEVICE, HOLDER FOR USE IN SAME, CELL AGGREGATION METHOD, BIOLOGICAL TISSUE FORMATION METHOD, LAYERED CELL SHEET, AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/129681
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A suitable cell within a well (7) is selected by means of an imaging device (21), and the well (7) having the suitable cell (13) therein is irradiated with a laser from a laser source (17) on the basis of information regarding the selection. Using the laser source (17), the laser is irradiated from above a transparent plate (9) so that the laser traverses the transparent plate (9) and irradiates a light-absorbing member (5). The laser beam is absorbed by the light-absorbing member (5) and generates heat, which heats the culture medium (23) within the well (7) and generates micro-bubbles. The generation of micro-bubbles within the well (7) generates pressure which ejects the cell (13) (and the culture medium) on the interior of the well (7) in the direction towards a table (15). In this manner, a cell at a given location can be extracted onto the table (15) or a culture bed (16).
