Abstract:
A cell capable of replicating an HCV replicon can be produced by employing a production method involving a step of introducing RNA containing an HCV replicon sequence and a selection marker gene sequence into a Li23 cell or a healing cell derived from a Li23 cell. A cell capable of replicating full-length HCV RNA can be produced by employing a production method involving a step of introducing RNA containing a full-length HCV genome sequence and a selection marker gene sequence into a cell presented by a Li23 cell or a healing cell derived from a Li23 cell. It becomes possible to construct an HCV life cycle reproduction system which is derived from a cell line other than HuH-7 cell line and has an ability equivalent to that of an HCV life cycle reproduction system derived from HuH-7 cell line.
