Abstract:
To determine, at an earlier stage, age-related degradation of a cell capture filter provided with a metal porous membrane. A cell capture filter comprises a metal porous membrane having a plurality of through-holes passing through main surfaces that oppose each other. The metal porous membrane is formed from an alloy of nickel and an element selected from gold, platinum, and palladium, or is formed from a metal that mainly comprises nickel. A metal that mainly comprises copper adheres to part of one of the two main surfaces of the metal porous membrane. Confirming changes in the state of the metal that mainly comprises copper makes it possible to determine, at an earlier stage, age-related degradation of the metal porous membrane.
