Abstract:
At the present time, there is not yet discovered a cell mass diameter controlling method which is suitable for floating culture for the purpose of mass production of cells. In the above-mentioned situation, the present invention addresses the problem of providing: a cell mass diameter controlling method; and a cell culture apparatus to which the aforementioned controlling method is applied. In the culture apparatus according to the present invention, ultrasonic waves are applied to relatively large cell masses among cell masses floating in a liquid culture medium to control the diameters of the cell masses.
