Provided is a cell culture device suitable for controlling the gas concentration of a medium in a cell culture container. Also provided is a cell culture device, wherein: culture can be performed without requiring an air layer in a cell culture container; a cell culture site allowing the culture of adhesive cells over a wide range can be obtained within the cell culture container; and a large amount of cells can be cultured in a closed system. The cell culture device (10) comprises: a cell culture container (21) having a hollow inner layer for housing a medium therein; circulation lines (311-313) which are attached to the cell culture container (21) for circulating the medium; a liquid feeding pump (41) which is disposed in the circulation lines (311-313) and feeds the medium to the cell culture container (21); and a gas exchange means (51) which is disposed in the circulation lines (311-313) and equipped with a hollow fiber membrane for the gas exchange between the gas contained in the medium, said medium being circulating within the circulation lines (311-313), with a gas for conditioning.
