Abstract:
Provided are a cell culture method and a cell culture device whereby a loss of a culture medium can be reduced. The cell culture method according to the present invention comprises: a step for disposing a porous metal film, said porous metal film being provided with a plurality of throughholes, inside a bottomed culture container; a step for supplying a culture medium into the culture container; a step for supplying cells into the culture container; and a step for culturing the cells using the culture medium. The cell culture device according to the present invention, in which cells are cultured using a culture medium, comprises a bottomed culture container for housing the culture medium and the cells and a porous metal film which is provided with a plurality of throughholes and disposed inside the culture container. Owing to this configuration, a loss of the culture medium caused by water absorption by the porous film per se can be reduced.
