Abstract:
A cell culture system comprising: a first container that holds a cell suspension; a second container that holds a diluent for diluting the cell suspension; a viable cell concentration measurement device that measures the viable cell concentration of target cells in the cell suspension by individually determining the life-or-death of the multiple target cells in the cell suspension; a controller that maintains the viable cell concentration and liquid volume data of the cell suspension and controls the same; a mixer unit that mixes the cell suspension with the diluent; and a culture container in which the diluted cell suspension is seeded and the cells are cultured. The controller determines the liquid volume of the cell suspension to be seeded and the liquid volume of the diluent required for adjusting the cell suspension to be seeded to a preset viable cell concentration, on the basis of the viable cell concentration and the liquid volume data of the cell suspension, supplies the aforesaid liquid volume of the cell suspension and the aforesaid liquid volume of the diluent to the mixer unit, and seeds the diluted cell suspension. A method for adjusting the viable cell concentration.
