Title:
CELL CULTURING DEVICE, CELL CULTURING SYSTEM AND CELL CULTURING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/159333
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A cell culturing device provided with: a first culturing chamber; a first introduction flow channel and a first discharge flow channel that are connected to said first culturing chamber; a second culturing chamber connected in the middle of the first introduction flow channel via a first porous membrane; and a second introduction flow channel and a second discharge flow channel that are connected to the second culturing chamber. The first discharge flow channel is connected to the first culturing chamber via a second porous membrane. Liquid-collecting areas are provided in the first introduction flow channel between the first culturing chamber and the second culturing chamber. At least a portion of the walls of the liquid-collecting areas is formed from an elastic member, which can be pierced by a suction implement with a sharp point and, when the suction implement is withdrawn after piercing, in which the through hole can be closed as a result of the elasticity of the member. The cell culturing device comprises a main body section and a cover section that is detachably attached to the main body section. The first culturing chamber is formed in the main body section and has an opening in the surface of the main body section that is in contact with the cover section. The second culturing chamber is formed in the cover section.
