Abstract:
The present invention provides: a cell device that is capable of maintaining a cell aggregate at a high number density and achieving both a high therapeutic efficacy and a low invasiveness by means of the cell aggregate; a method for manufacturing the cell device; and a method for implanting the cell device. The cell device (1) used for cell transplantation is provided with: a carrier (20) for carrying a cell aggregate (10); and a case (30) for covering the carrier (20), wherein the carrier (20) has a porous substrate (21) and a cell adhesive layer (22) that is provided on the surface of the substrate (21) and composed of cell-adhesive molecules. The method for manufacturing the cell device comprises: a step for accommodating the carrier (20) in the case (30); and a step for introducing the cell aggregate (10) into pores of the carrier (20) by applying a coercive force. The method for implanting the cell device comprises a step for implanting the cell device (1), into which the cell coagulate (10) is introduced, in a living body other than a human.
