Abstract:
The present invention provides a cell isolation device and cell isolation method capable of selecting cells having high antibody-production ability, from a candidate cell group by using a simple process but causing less damage to the cells. The cell isolation device (100) is provided with an operation part (101) in which a culture vessel having a plurality of wells is placed, an inoculation device (103) for inoculating candidate cells into a culture medium, a temperature adjustment device (102) for adjusting the temperature of the culture medium, a reagent addition device (106) for adding an anti-membrane protein antibody to the culture medium, and a collection device (104) for collecting the culture medium. A protein-binding site having an antibody-binding ability, and a temperature responsive site of which the three-dimensional structure changes depending on a change in temperature, are bound to the inner wall surface of the wells. The anti-membrane protein antibody is added to the cultured candidate cells, and the temperature of the culture medium is changed to a temperature exceeding the phase transition temperature of the temperature responsive site, whereby only antibody-producing cells are isolated and collected.
