Abstract:
Disclosed is a cell module provided with a device capable of performing safe and efficient temperature control of a plurality of secondary cells. The cell module is provided with a plurality of element cells which are cylindrical secondary cells and a temperature control device for controlling the temperature of the element cells. The element cells are so arranged that the side faces adjoin one another. All the element cells or assemblies of parallel-connected element cells are electrically connected in series. The temperature control device is provided with a heat-conduction member for depriving the element cells of heat or giving the element cells heat and a heat-dissipation member to which the heat-conduction member is secured. The heat-conduction member is provided with a plurality of insertion sections inserted into the space surrounded by the side faces of the element cells and a bottom section facing the lower surfaces of the element cells. At a minimum, the part facing the element cells of the heat-conduction member comprises an electrical insulation material. The side face parts and bottom face parts of the element cells connected in series are separated in a liquid-tight way by the heat-conduction member.
