Abstract:
A cell reselection method and apparatus, and a communication system. The cell reselection method comprises: a user equipment determining a cell which supports a proximity based service and has a signal strength greater than or equal to a pre-set threshold value; and the user equipment reselects the cell. By means of the embodiments of the present invention, even though a cell with the greatest signal strength does not support a ProSe service, the user equipment can also reselect a new cell to perform a ProSe service.
