Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a cell structure for use in the treatment of brain injury, which does not contain glutaraldehyde and can exert a sufficient therapeutic effect on brain injury; a method for producing the cell structure; and a therapeutic agent for brain injury. According to the present invention, a cell structure for use in the treatment of brain injury can be provided, which comprises biocompatible polymer blocks and at least one kind of cells, wherein the multiple biocompatible polymer blocks are respectively arranged in gaps formed between the multiple cells, and wherein each of the biocompatible polymer blocks has a tap density of 10 to 500 mg/cm3 inclusive or the value produced by dividing the square root of the cross-sectional area of a two-dimensional cross-sectional image of each of the biocompatible polymer blocks by the perimeter of the two-dimensional cross-sectional image is 0.01 to 0.13 inclusive.
