Title:
CELLOBIOHYDROLASE HAVING IMPROVED THERMAL STABILITY
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/182570
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide CBHI having excellent thermal stability. A polypeptide which comprises an amino acid sequence that is produced by adding a mutation (A) and/or a mutation (B) as mentioned below to any one of the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1, an amino acid sequence having a 85% or more identity to the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 and an amino acid sequence produced by substituting, inserting, adding and/or deleting one or several amino acid residues in the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1, and which has a cellobiohydrolase activity and improved thermal stability. The mutation (A): the substitution of at least one amino acid residue selected from the group consisting of S42Q, T43E, K45T, S46A, G47P, N53Q, S54N, T262G, S298P, A426P and V451F. The mutation (B): the substitution of an amino acid domain lying between position-413 to position-416 in the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 by the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 2.
