Abstract:
Provided are cellulose acetate flakes which have high polymerization degree and low acetification degree, while having small variation in the degree of acetyl substitution.
The present invention provides cellulose acetate flakes which are obtained by a production method comprising an acetification step and a saponification/maturing step, and which have an average acetification degree of from 60.0% to 61.5%, a viscosity average polymerization degree of 360-440 and a filtration degree of 100 or less.
